Interdistrict Letter
RBUESD Interdistrict Request and Procedures
For parents who want their children to attend Red Bluff Union Elementary District (RBUESD) schools who live outside our attendance area, or for those who live within the RBUESD attendance area wanting to attend schools outside our boundaries, an interdistrict request form signed by the superintendents of both districts is required. This form is available here and at the district or school office of any county school.
For Renewals or new Requests for attendance within RBUESD:
- The registration period begins on January 1 and runs through March 31 of every year. In January of every year, a letter will be sent to all families who need to renew for the coming school year.
- For new requests outside this period, please fill out a request form and submit it to the district office of your district of residence as soon as possible. The district will forward the form to the other district for approval.
- Once approved by both district superintendents, the district will notify you of the status of your request.
- The agreement is good for one school year, and must be renewed annually during the term listed above. Failure of a parent/guardian to meet any timelines established by the district shall be deemed an abandonment of the request
The interdistrict form lists procedures and timelines for processing your request, the basis for denying a request, and the process for filing an appeal to the Tehama County Office of Education Board.
Additionally, RBUESD board policy AR 5117 regulating the terms and conditions for inter district requests can be found online at our website.
