Her first paid job was in high school working for the Tehama County Library at the old Kraft Building. After graduating in 1980 from Red Bluff High, she continued working for the Red Bluff Daily News as a 50 cents per inch “stringer”, until she got a “real” job. Mrs. Clements' priority is the safety of your children, providing for their educational needs, and the needs of teaching and support staff.
During the school year, she volunteers with the after-school Good News Club at Bidwell, Jackson, and Metteer. She recently started volunteering with Reading Pals after school at Metteer and highly recommends it. For over a decade,  she has volunteered as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate).

She attends Calvary Chapel church in Red Bluff and serves on the Impact Team.
